2. Shri Azad Hussain Bhat S/O Gh Hussain R/o Natipor, a heard on Radio that the Employment Department provides loan to the Educated Unemployed Youth for setting up of units with the Self Employment Scheme. He accordingly applied for the same and was selected by the Task Force for setting up a unit under S.E.S. for wholesale Ready Made Garments. An amount of Rs 1.50 lacs have been recommended in favour of the said candidate and the bank released the full component of loan to the candidate on 17-03- 99. The candidate Established his unit of trade at Rambagh Balla with trade name as Shaheen Enterprises. The candidate is doing well and has at present stocks with more than Rs 3.00 lacs. He has been financed by Punjab National Bank, Natipora. 3. S. Kanwalnian Singh S/O Peshwari Singh R/O Khanpora, a matriculate who was working with a shopkeeper s salesman. While dealing with the Glass Pain developed idea of having his own shop but the financial constrains hampered this idea. However, on seeing an advertisement regarding Self Employment Scheme in the local newspaper an idea struck to his mind to opt for the said scheme and initiated action for drawing loan under the scheme so that he can start his own shop to utilize his experience. He was then provided with a cash assistance of Rs 1.20 lacs in the year 1998 through P.N.B. The candidate established a Glass House at Mehjoor Nagar, Rambagh Bund under the name and style Guru Nanak Glass House. The candidates has at present stock worth Rs 3.00 lacs. He is regular in repayment of loan. He has provided job for person. 4.
After
passing TDC Shri Shahnawaz Ahmad Khan S/O Ali Mohd. Khan R/O Wadipora, Ompora,
decided to go for business instead of any Govt. job or some technical training as he
wanted to be his own master. He wanted to establish a business where he can earn his
livelihood with great honour and not to be dependable on others. He also wanted to
establish a business where he can engage others also and provide them also employment.
With this idea in his mind he approached the Employment Exchange where he was provided
with information regarding the SES. It was a great thrill to him as he felt that his dream
came true. The candidate was provided with a loan
of Rs1.20 lacs and he started a G.P.S. wholesale/retail shop at Ompora under the name and
style Khan
Traders. The unit is functioning nicely. 5. Parvez Ahmad Ganie S/O Noor Mohd. Ganie R/O Burzulla ,who had passed 2nd year B.A. applied for loan to start a cloth shop but he discovered that there is not stationery/ Gift shop in the locality and he raised loan of Rs 1.00 lacs through State Bank of India under the Self Employment Scheme. The shop is running nicely under the trade name Nice Stationers at Bagat (Opposite Jamia Masjid) . 6. Masood Ahmad Khan S/O Ab. Rashid Khan R/O Chadoura,
a science Graduate after utilizing all sources
and efforts to get the wage paid employment with no fruits, decided opt for some gainful
employment by utilizing his skill. He made a survey and came to the conclusing that a unit of ice & ice candy can be profitable in
the area but he was short of finance. Since he had already liaison with the Employment
Office who motivated him and provided necessary guidance to him for opting gainful
employment. The candidate was provided with the
necessary document and he was selected for the trade. An amount of Rs 1.50 lacs were
recommended and provided to him. He purchased machinery from outside State and arranged 15
trolies. The candidate has appointed skilled person also. He has engaged 15 persons for running trollies on commission
basis. The unit has been recently
commissioned. 7. Abdul Hamid Mir S/O Jalala-din R/O Gundi Rajab,
B.Sc. Ist year got an idea of starting his own business from his friends already in the
business. First of all he rented a shop and started with a nominal amount but latter on he
came to know about the S.E.S. and
raised loan through J&K Bank under the
SES. He worked very hard and not only expanded his business
by keeping goods like sports, Shees & R.M.G items but purchased also a shop to
house these items. Goods worth about Rs 3.00 lacs are at
present on the shop and has engaged one person as helper. The candidate is regular
in repayment of loan. 8. Niyaz
Ahmad Sofi S/O Ab. Ahad Sofi R/O Pakherpora, applied for loan with S.E.S. for Oil
Expeller. The candidate was provided with an amount of Rs
as loan through J&K Bank, Pakherpora. The candidate with his hard work
not only regular in repayment of bank
loan but has strengthen his unit by establishing spice
Grinder and Rice Husker also. He was engaged two persons and is paying Rs 1100/- to these persons monthly. At present his
net earning are Rs 3000/- P. M. An amount of Rs
has been released in his favour as Interest Subsidy.
